Richard Gorman

President and CEO, Vormetric Inc.

Richard has driven direction, strategy and execution as President and CEO at Vormetric since 2007. Vormetric is recognized today as the Leader in Encryption and Enterprise Key Management. Richard joined Vormetric with over 20 years of technology industry experience. Richard's experience includes being Senior Vice President of Products with Siebel Systems, where he drove product direction, strategy, and execution for over $1 billion in products, and integrated and managed five acquisitions of innovative software companies. He also served in senior management roles at Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems and Borland. Richard has been involved in a number of startups, including Ansa Software (developers of Paradox), which was acquired by Borland. Richard was a Venture Partner at Bay Partners and has served on the Board of Directors of a number of high tech software companies. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for five years and has a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science as well as a Master's degree in management from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Dan Eilers

General Partner, Vanguard Ventures

Dan Eilers is a General Partner investing in software, hardware, storage and other information technology companies at Vanguard Ventures. Dan brings 20 years of technology and venture capital experience to his role, including serving as the President and CEO of three companies. Immediately prior to joining Vanguard Ventures, he was an angel investor, advisor and board member to several early stage private and public companies including WEBEX Communications, SiteSmith, and Carrier Access Corporation. Dan served as President and CEO of CIDCO, Inc., a telecommunications products company which achieved over $250 million in revenue and increased its market share in its core telecommunications products to 80 percent during his tenure. He also served as CEO-in-residence at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, assisting in the evaluation of numerous venture capital investments. He spent nine years at Apple, held the Chief Marketing Officer position (Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing), and established and led for six years Apple's strategic investment group, which included venture capital investing, joint ventures, acquisitions and alliances. Dan also led Claris Corporation as President and CEO. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Washington, and an MBA degree from Stanford University.

Ken Goldman

CFO, Fortinet

Ken Goldman is currently the CFO of Fortinet. From August 2000 until the close of Oracle Corporation's acquisition of Siebel in January 2006, Mr. Goldman served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer of Siebel Systems. Prior to working at Siebel Systems, he served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Excite@Home. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Goldman served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Sybase, Inc. Other Chief Financial Officer positions that Mr. Goldman has held were with Cypress Semiconductor and VLSI Technology. Mr. Goldman earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University in 1971 and received his master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School in 1974. He is a member and the former president of The Financial Executive Institute, Santa Clara chapter and was formerly an advisory council member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board. He is an advisory board member for the Harvard Business School California Research Center. He served as a trustee on the board of The Menlo School, serves as a trustee on the board of Cornell University and serves as a director on the board of two public companies , Bigband Networks and Infinera , and several private companies.

Brian NeSmith

For more than 11 years, Brian NeSmith was CEO of Blue Coat Systems, the current market leader in content and web security. During that time he managed the company’s IPO (under the CacheFlow name), and later refocused the company on the security market growing the business from $40M/year to $500M/year. Prior to Blue Coat, Brian was CEO of Ipsilon Networks, the pioneer of IP Switching technology. Nokia acquired Ipsilon where its products became the basis for the market-leading Nokia firewall appliance. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Newbridge Networks’ Local Area Networking business, VIVID, and served as the unit’s first general manager. Brian holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Steve Schlossareck

Managing Director, Quicksilver Ventures

Steve Schlossareck is a Managing Director and co-founder of Quicksilver Ventures, a private equity venture firm focused on the technology infrastructure of the enterprise. He brings extensive experience in corporate business development and in corporate and venture investment. Prior to Quicksilver Ventures, Steve was a co-founder of Quantum Technology Ventures, which was a venture capital firm investing for Quantum Corporation. Steve has also served as Senior Director of Corporate Development at Quantum Corporation and as Senior Manager for Corporate Development and Strategic Investments at Apple Computer. Early in his career at Apple, Steve held positions in their USA Sales and Marketing Division and Information Systems and Technology Division. Steve holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Tasha Seitz

Partner, JK&B Capital

Ms. Seitz joined JK&B Capital in 1997 and has focused on the software sector, working with companies such as Interwoven, Andromedia, Synchrologic, and Reactivity. Prior to joining JK&B, Ms. Seitz was an information technology industry analyst at Gartner Group advising Fortune 500 and Global 1000 clients in their implementation of technology over a five-year strategic planning horizon. She worked in the areas of Local Area Communications and Applications Development & Management before founding Gartner's Multimedia service in 1993. While at Gartner, Ms. Seitz advised on electronic publishing and led efforts to deliver research to Gartner's clients in multimedia. Ms. Seitz earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wellesley College and a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Bob Spinnner

Managing Director, Sigma Partners

Bob brings to Vormetric two decades of high-technology business operational experience. Throughout his career, Bob has served in various operational capacities, including CEO, worldwide sales, technical sales support, software programming, database design, and private and public fundraising. Prior to joining Sigma Partners, Bob was President and CEO of Extensity. During his tenure, Extensity grew from $1 million to $25 million while raising money through private funding and an Initial Public Offering. In March of 2003, Extensity was sold to GEAC. Prior to Extensity, Bob was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and International Operations at Clarify, a leading provider of integrated CRM solutions. During his tenure at Clarify, he grew the company from $5 million to $140 million in revenue while managing a worldwide organization of 260 professionals. Prior to Clarify, Bob served in expanding roles at Sybase including working as the director of one of Sybase's most successful regions. Bob has also held technical roles at ADR and Chevron, including sales engineer, programmer and database administrator. Bob received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
