Lead Development Representative

Location: Corporate Headquarters, San Jose, CA

Vormetric, Inc is the leader in enterprise encryption and key management software is currently expanding our sales and marketing force and is excited to be looking for three Lead Development Representatives "LDR" to join our rapidly growing marketing team. The Lead Development Representative will be responsible for making outbound phone calls, demonstrating our products online and assisting sales with closing deals. Additionally, the LDR will be responsible for handling inbound leads and discerning the quality/value of those leads for further qualification by the Sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, penetrate and create new relationships with Enterprise and medium sized companies and agencies by phone
  • Generate interest in Vormetric products through at least 60 to 80 outbound phone calls daily
  • Identify, initiate and nurture relationships with prospects both over the phone and via e-mail
  • Develop relationships at all levels from CSO, Director of IT Security, DBAs to other members of IT teams
  • Qualify and allocate leads for sales team
  • Work with a monthly, quarterly and yearly quota
  • Develop and sustain knowledge of Vormetric products' offerings and associated technologies
  • Data-entry and lead management of company records into our CRM software
  • Identify and understand trends within industries, what makes a campaign successful and apply this knowledge to help generate further new business

Qualifications (Candidate must possess and be able to demonstrate these qualities)

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • 2+ years inside sales experience selling IT Security / IT Storage solutions preferred

Sr. Software Engineer - Java Security Server

Location: San Jose, CA

We looking for a senior software engineer to play a key role in our server team. The engineer will have excellent knowledge of Java Server development and good understanding of metrics and factors that influence the performance of multi-threaded, scalable Java server applications. This engineer will have experience in high availability, high-performance, database-centric Enterprise-class software development. He or she should have the ability and willingness to proactively interact with the team and achieve results in a dynamic small company environment.

Responsibilities

This engineer will be exposed to all parts of the Java Security Server. In this position, he/she will:
  • Work closely with the development manager to evaluate new feature requests, prototype, design and implement new software components
  • Develop and execute tests to ensure quality before hand-off to QA

Sr. Software Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

We are looking for a talented and experienced data security engineer to design and implement system software solutions. As a member of a dynamic engineering team, the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to and influence the design of the software, participate in and contribute to technical discussions and product architecture. The ideal candidate will be intimately familiar with and have industry experience developing software using the Unix/Linux operating system and networking constructs. Kernel programming experience is desirable but not required.

The overall focus of the R&D group is on competitive market and customer requirements, technology advances, product quality, product cost and time-to-market. Software engineers focus on enhancements to existing products as well as new product development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain existing user-level (and some kernel-level) library and daemon code (multithreaded C programming on nearly every variant of Unix and Windows);
  • Develop and maintain hardware appliance initialization and control scripts
  • Design new features with special attention to versioning, compatibility and correctness

Principal Software Engineer - UNIX Kernel

Location: San Jose, CA

With escalating number of security breaches, insider threats and the rapid adoption of cloud business models, ensuring data privacy with cloud encryption is one of the top priorities of the security industry and Vormetric is a well recognized leader in this space. We are looking for talented and experienced UNIX kernel engineers to port, implement new features and scale our encryption products to run on a variety of UNIX platforms. The scope of platforms includes AIX, Solaris, and HP-UX. The business models range from Enterprise Software to dynamic, secure provisioning for various Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud offerings.

As a member of a dynamic engineering team, the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to and influence the design of new features, keep abreast of features being rolled out in new releases of UNIX operating systems and work in the area of file systems, clustering and security. For an ideal candidate we are willing to consider upgrading the position to that of a Senior Principal Software Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have a broad hands-on technical background with professional experience in operating systems, databases, storage, security and networking.

  • Responsible for customer-facing product deployments -both pre-sales (i.e. trials) and paid post sales engagements
  • Serve as a Vormetric Data Security Solution expert including its underlying architecture and best practices. Ensure that Vormetric products are deployed to meet customer's technical and business requirements
  • Deliver product training to partners, customers and other stakeholders
  • Identify and champion product enhancement requests and product support issues

Requirements:

  • At least five years of experience as a solution engineer/consultant, post-sales engineer or IT administrator/operations
  • Enterprise software installation experience is required
  • Customer facing or sales support experience strongly preferred
  • Strong skills in UNIX, Linux or Windows Server operating systems. A basic understanding and hands on experience on UNIX platforms is a must

This position requires working at a customer site in Northern NJ/Bergen County, NJ area for 10 months and help them deploy Vormetric Data Security solution.
