Ashvin Kamaraju

Ashvin Kamaraju leads the product development organization and in addition leads the partner management, strategic alliances and business development functions for technology strategy and product development. Ashvin is an experienced engineering leader with extensive background in enterprise software development, product strategy, product management and business development. Prior to joining Vormetric, Ashvin Kamaraju was the Vice President of Engineering for Storage Foundation products at VERITAS Software and at Symantec Corporation (which acquired VERITAS), where he led a large geographically distributed engineering organization developing file systems, volume managers, clustering and replication products. As Vice President and General Manager, also at Symantec, Ashvin led the emerging product development efforts in the areas of file server appliances, archival storage and scalable storage subsystems for cloud storage service providers. Prior to Symantec, Ashvin worked at Sun Microsystems as a member of technical staff and engineering manager where he contributed to the Solaris operating system, developed operating system driver software for high end graphics chips and led the development efforts for file and proxy cache servers. Ashvin's professional interests include cloud computing, web services, distributed systems, file systems and information management & security. He has a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master's degree in Mathematics & Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati.
