Richard Gorman

Richard Gorman has driven direction, strategy and execution as President and CEO of Vormetric since 2007. Vormetric is recognized today as the Leader in Data Encryption and Key Management for the Cloud, Virtual, and Enterprise Environments. Fifteen companies in the Fortune 25 are using the Vormetric solution to protect their data in all environments. Richard's prior experience includes being Senior Vice President of Products with Siebel Systems, where he drove product direction, strategy, and execution for over $1 billion in products, and integrated and managed five acquisitions of innovative software companies. Richard Gorman also served in senior management roles at Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems and Borland. Richard has been involved in a number of startups, including Ansa Software (developers of Paradox), which was acquired by Borland. Richard was a Venture Partner at Bay Partners and has served on the Board of Directors of a number of high tech software companies. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for five years and has a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science as well as a Master's Degree in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
