Encryption Expert is high-speed encryption, access control, and key management that is transparent to users and tracks all access attempts to data - successful or unsuccessful - providing the information needed to prove compliance. Not only are the keys are managed separately from the data and never disclosed to users, but data can also be managed without decrypting it, allowing for necessary backup functions without unnecessary data access.

 

IBM offers Vormetric’s Database Encryption Expert product as IBM Database Encryption Expert. The IBM Database Encryption Expert is a part of IBM's comprehensive suite of Data Management Tools. The initial IBM product is available for the DB2 9.5 data server.
